Chief Advisor

Qualifications:

• Spent one semester as a Junior Advisor ​

• Demonstrate knowledge on premed topics

• Demonstrate commitment to the goal and mission of SPAN

Duties:

• Oversee Junior Advisors and Advisors-in-training

• Monitor advisors@spanberkeley.com email

• Plan and attend all meetings

• Board Meetings

Junior Advisor

Qualifications:

• Attended all fall seminars (Premed 101 seminar series) OR student has with a wealth of premed knowledge from own experience

• Demonstrate knowledge on premed topics

• Demonstrate commitment to the goal and mission of SPAN

• Interview with current Chief Advisors

• Take a qualifying exam demonstrating knowledge on premed topics and commitment to advising the UC Berkeley undergraduate student population

Duties:

• Work closely with Chief Advisors

• Monitor advisors@spanberkeley.com email

  • Send pre-draft of emails to Chief Advisors

• Plan and attend all meetings

  • Will present one seminar with a Chief Advisor

• Attend all Board Meetings

Advisor-in-Training

Qualifications:

• Interested in premed topics and would like to improve upon knowledge

• Must attend all fall seminars 

• Notify a Chief Advisor of intention in becoming a Junior Advisor in the upcoming semester

Duties:

• Work closely with Chief and Junior Advisors

• Attend all General Meetings and Board Meetings

• Notify Chief Advisors of your interest in this role and we will set you up with a timeline to complete training and join the Leadership Board
